The Lake County Library System is hosting the annual summer program for children, teens, and adults featuring the theme “All Together Now” which celebrates kindness, friendship, and unity.

The program runs from June to July with more than 500 free events and activities that are open to the public. Lake County is proud to offer a wide range of programs, including live science shows, animal and wildlife presentations, STEAM programs, gaming tournaments, magic shows, interactive family movies, PAWS therapy dogs, LEGO classes, and more.

New this year, many Lake Libraries are hosting accompanying Summer Reading Challenges on Beanstack, as a supplemental component to Summer Reading to allow readers to track their reading and earn prizes.

The reading portion of the program also serves as a great way to keep young minds active and help prevent a “summer slide” in academic performance. Kids and teens can earn prizes and gift cards in the reading competition, and adults can enter raffles for grand prizes.

The Lake County Library System is dedicated to promoting lifelong learning through a cooperative countywide library system, engaging the community by offering physical and digital content, and offering services critical to education, research, and workforce training.

For more information about the Lake County Library System or to find out about future programs, call or visit your local library, or go to http://mylakelibrary.org and www.facebook.com/LakeCountyFLLibrary.
