Monday, October 10, 2022 -- Five libraries closed for staff training

Five libraries will be closed on Monday, October 10, 2022 for staff training: Astor County Library, Cagan Crossings Community Library (Four Corners), East Lake Mini Library (Sorrento), Marion Baysinger Memorial Library (Groveland), and Paisley County Library. All other libraries will be open as usual.

Celebrate Lake County Library System's 40th Anniversary!

In celebration of this milestone anniversary, Lake County Library System is challenging the community to explore its libraries and services with the “40 Things to Do at Your Lake Library” activity list. Those who complete at least 20 items on the list can have their names added to a time capsule to be opened at the Library System’s 50th anniversary in 2032. The challenge begins Monday, September 12, and will end Saturday, December 31, 2022.

The East Lake County Library in Sorrento will be closing temporarily beginning Saturday, July 9. 

For many in the area, the closest library will be the W.T. Bland Public Library located at 1995 N. Donnelly St. in Mount Dora. The phone number is 352-735-7180.

All holds placed at East Lake County Library can be picked up at W.T. Bland Public Library beginning Tuesday, July 12. 

Books can be returned at the book drop outside of the library or at any of the other 15 Lake County libraries

A new temporary facility will be set up at the East Lake Sports & Community Complex. Please keep an eye out for the latest updates on our website, www.mylakelibrary.org.
