Blazing Eternity

An ocean of lava paints the sky,
As temperatures drop throughout the evening.
Air swirls in and 'out of these peaks of coal,
As isolation blows through one's mind.

Each turn, like pieces of a puzzle, fits together.
This masterpiece will be complete someday.
With time spinning, around each corner.
Sections of the heat inlaid among the valleys,
Express the countdown to twilight ticking toward eternity.

Trapped with no escape through this magic of misfortune,
Enrages the living soul.
A showcase of lives drained by the canvas screaming.

But the end is never within reach.
The beast of the day boils in wrath,
As dawn boasts of its victory.
