Put Pain in Its Place, Programs @ the Library

University of Florida/IFAS Extension will present two Put Pain in Its Place – How to Get Osteoarthritis Under Control education programs. The first will be held on August 4, from 1 -2:30 p.m. in the Lady Lake Public Library. Registration is requested. Please register at the following link:

Put Pain in Its Place will be held again on August 5, from 10 -11:30 a.m. in the Leesburg Public Library, Meeting Room B. Registration is requested. Please register at the following link:

The goals are to provide older adults with knowledge about osteoarthritis pain, and to prepare them with strategies to relieve it. The program will demonstrate stretching movements and tools that will make daily activities easier, safer and less painful.

Get the facts about osteoarthritis pain and learn strategies for controlling and preventing pain from Julie England, Family and Consumer Sciences agent with University of Florida/IFAS Extension Lake County. Ms. England holds two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida and one in Environmental Studies from Rollins College. She also has a Masters in Agriculture Education and Communication from the University of Florida.
