Tech Thursday: Getting Started with Dropbox

On May 21, 2015, library personnel will provide patrons with a one-hour hands on class that will demonstrate the use of Cloud Technologies, such as Dropbox, to share digital files online.

Online sharing services have made it easier for users to share large files with friends and business contacts. Most E-mail providers put limits on the file size of each email sent. Online storage options like Dropbox allow users to send a link to files stored within a cloud service and friends or colleagues then have access immediately. The library classes will focus on the use of Dropbox, a free online sharing service.

This session is part of the Tech Thursday initiative taking place at your local libraries. Future programs will include beginning computer classes, iPad classes and Microsoft Software programs. Weekly classes are offered throughout the County.

Contact one of the libraries listed below for more information about this program, to register or if you have questions about sessions that have been scheduled at your library. Information and registration links can also be found here.
