    Spring Programming at the Library!

    The Fruitland Park Library Book Club meets the third Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. For a list of books, please call the library at 352-360-6561 or find it on the library’s Facebook page.

    Don’t sit home and stitch alone! Come to the library on Tuesday afternoons from 1-3:00 p.m. and learn how to crochet, knit, or embroider with “Knitting with Myla.” For more information about this free program, please call the library at 352-360-6561.

    Mahjong at the Fruitland Park Library is on Wednesdays from 11:45 to 3:30 p.m. All playing levels are welcome.

    The Bilingual Chat! Program continues at the Fruitland Park Library on the second and forth Thursdays of every month at 4:00 p.m. This themed program is for English speakers who want to learn Spanish and for Spanish speakers who want to learn English. For more information on this free program please call the library at 352-360-6561. Due to the popularity of this program, registration is required to attend.

    The “Make-it/Take-it Adult Craft Series” takes place the third Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. This is a fun way to be creative in a relaxing atmosphere. Registration is required by calling 352-360-6561. Free

    Children/Teen Programming

    “Story Time with Ms. Roz and Friends” continues on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for age’s newborn to 4 years. Themed programming with singing, dancing, learning and making a craft is what it’s all about!

    The library’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 after Story Time at 11:00 a.m. Registration is required for this popular program. Free

    The Fruitland Park Library’s Teen Book Club takes place on the forth Monday of every month at 4:00 p.m. For a list of book selections, stop by the library or call at 352-360-6561. For ages 13 and up.

    The Recycled Art Program takes place on the second Wednesday of the month at 3:30 p.m. For ages 8 and up. Look at trash in new and inventive ways.

    PAWS Dogs & Craft takes place on the second Thursday of every month at 3:30 p.m. This family program has the children reading to the dogs and making a themed craft. This is a fun way for children to increase their Accelerated Reading Points.

    “Rocks around the World” takes place every other Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Our resident geologist, Ms. Sherry selects a stone/rock and has the children research and discuss it. Each week the children are entered into a drawing to win the stone/rock of the week. This popular free program is open to children 8 and up.

    Anime Club takes place on the third Friday of every month at 4:30 p.m. Ages 10 and up.

    Teen Advisory Board meets the third Friday every month at 4:00 p.m. Ages 13 and up.

    Lego Club takes place on Monday Mornings at 10:30 a.m. and on Thursday afternoons at 3:00 p.m. Children create and build using their imagination. For ages 3 and up.

    The Chess Club meets every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Beginners and advanced players are welcome. Ages 7 and up.

    Our Second Annual Cosplay Competition is on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Registration is required for this event. A Cosplay Workshop will take place at the library on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
