Branch Libraries
The following Lake County branch libraries will close early at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, and will remain closed on Wednesday, August 30, due to Hurricane Idalia. The libraries will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
Member Libraries
Eustis Memorial Library will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, and will remain closed on Wednesday, August 30. The library will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
Fruitland Park Library will close at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, and will remain closed on Wednesday, August 30. The library will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
Lady Lake Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, August 30. The library will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
Leesburg Public Library will close at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, and will remain closed be closed on Wednesday, August 30. The library will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
Marianne Beck Memorial Library (Howey-in-the-Hills) will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, and will remain closed on Wednesday, August 30. The library will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
At this time, Minneola Schoolhouse Library will be open during regular operating hours on Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30.
Tavares Public Library will close at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, and will remain closed on Wednesday, August 30. The City of Tavares, including the library, plans to re-open on Thursday, August 31. The book drop will close at 12 p.m. on Tuesday and will remain closed until the library has reopened.
Umatilla Public Library will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, and will remain closed on Wednesday, August 30. The library will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
W.T. Bland Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, and will remain closed on Wednesday, August 30. The library will reopen on Thursday, August 31.
