1. Saturday, December 1 @ 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Holiday Market
Minneola City Hall (all proceeds benefit the Minneola Schoolhouse Library)
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
There will be 50 vendor tables full of holiday crafts and Christmas treasures. You will find the perfect gift for friends and family! We have raffles, books, and DVDs for sale. Enjoy delicious baked treats. Breakfast goodies, lunch, snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase. Come early, the scrumptious food goes quickly!

2. Monday, December 3 @ 2 - 3 p.m.
West African Kora (harp) presented by Sean Gaskell
Leesburg Public Library, Meeting Room A
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Sean Gaskell features traditional songs on the Kora, a 21 string harp that he learned how to play throughout the course of multiple visits to its homeland in Gambia, West Africa. Join us for an educational musical special, one that is truly unique.

Gingerbread House Craft
Tavares Public Library
Free! For adults only.
Registration required. Please call 352-742-6204
Come get crafty at the Tavares Public Library! The first Monday of every month, the library will provide crafts for adults to make and take. Call a buddy, bring a friend!

4. Wednesday December 5 @ 10:30 a.m.
Cops & Cookies
Fruitland Park Library
Free! For children age 0-4. 
No registration required.
Children will decorate Christmas cookies with the Fruitland Park Police Officers.

Visit with Santa

Get your cameras ready for this fun-filled visit with Santa!

6. Wednesday, December 5 @ 2 - 5 p.m.
Meet & Greet with Santa & Mrs. Claus
Cagan Crossings Community Library
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Dress up the kids and bring your camera for this festive event!

7. Wednesday, December 5 @ 3 - 4:30 p.m.
Chanukah Family Fun
Cooper Memorial Library, Meeting Room 108 A & B
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Have fun learning about Chanukah with Rabbi Steve. Children will make crafts, sing songs and dance in this fun, accessible and educational program. Lots of delicious treats will be served. Bring the whole family.

Meet Santa
Cooper Memorial Library, Meeting Room 108 A & B 
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Dress up the kids and bring your camera for photos with Santa! There will also be crafts for the kids.

9. Saturday, December 8 @ 10:30 a.m.  - 4 p.m.
Gingerbread Man Cookie Decorating
W.T. Bland Public Library, Children's Program Room
Free! All ages welcomed.
Registration required. Call the library at 352-735-7180
Recommended $4 donation to cover the cost of materials. Please pay in person or call the library with a credit card.
Everyone is invited to decorate a giant gingerbread man cookie. Just bring your creativity! Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

10. Sunday, December 9 @ 2 - 3 p.m.
Blackwater Creek Bluegrass Band Holiday Concert
W.T. Bland Public Library, Community Room
Free! For adults only.
No registration required. Seats are first come, first serve.
The band brings together bluegrass, Americana and folk styling with hot picking banjo, bass, fiddle, guitar and mandolin.

11. Tuesday, December 11 @ 5:45 - 6:30 p.m.
Star Girls and the Little Gems Holiday Concert
Cooper Memorial Library, 2nd floor
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Holiday sing-along with local children's choir, the Star Girls, featuring the Little Gems. Led by Dana Duke.

12. Wednesday, December 12 @ 2 - 3:30 p.m.
Sacred Spaces: The Spiritual Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright
Leesburg Public Library, Meeting Room A & B
Free! All ages welcomed. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. 
Call library to reserve your seat. 
Tim Totten, Frank Lloyd Wright expert, presents a 90 minute exploration of the famed American Architect’s designs for churches, chapels, synagogues and other holy places.

13. Wednesday December 12 @ 10:30 a.m.
Paint A Christmas Ornament
Marian Baysinger Memorial County Library
Free children's program.
No registration required.
Kids will create their own keepsake ornament to bring home and hang on your Christmas tree!
 

14. Thursday, December 13 @ 1 - 2 p.m.
Story Time with Santa Jack Skellington
Cagan Crossings Community Library
Free! For children age 0-5
No registration required.
Santa Jack from the movie “Nightmare Before Christmas” will lead the kids with a fun story!

15. Friday, December 14 @ 6:30 p.m.
Joint event: Meet the Artist & Howey’s Christmas Festival
Marianne Beck Memorial Library
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Includes our artist, music, kids' activities and ugly sweater contest. Laura Sobbott Ross (the Lake County Poet Laureate) will also perform. The "Best decorated house for Christmas" winner and award will be announced. BBQ sliders for sale and a silent auction (baked goods and a piece of art donated by each artist who participated this year). All funds will go towards the library's building fund. The Howey Market, Little Boutique Salon, and Howey Museum at town hall will participate. Big happenings in our little town.

16. Saturday, December 15 @ 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Gingerbread House Decorating
East Lake County Library
Free! For children, tweens and teens.
Registration required. Call the library at 352-383-9980
Participants are required t obring one bag of hard candy or other edibles for decorating for the sharing table. Remaining craft materials provided by library. 

17. Sunday, December 16 @ 3 - 4 p.m.
Big Band Christmas Concert
Minneola Schoolhouse Library
Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Jingle jangle all the way to Minneola for the smooth sounds of the Osceola Arts Big Band, back by popular demand! The talented group consists of 20 professional musicians from the Central Florida area. The band's director, Dr. Thomas Silliman, Sr. is a Minneola Schoolhouse Library volunteer. This concert is brought to you by the Friends of the Minneola Schoolhouse Library.

Santa Story Time

Santa Visit, Ornament Decorating, PAWS Therapy Dogs
East Lake County Library
Free! All ages welcomed.

Participants are also encouraged to bring new, unwrapped gifts for a dog/cat: treats, dry food, collars/leashes, cleaning supplies, dog/cat beds and brushes.

Kwanzaa Crafty Kids

Free! All ages welcomed.
No registration required.
Create free and easy crafts to celebrate Kwanzaa and explore the theme of self-determination.
