Reference Information Request

Tavares Public Library Reference Service

The Tavares Public Library provides reference service for Lake County Library System card holders via the Internet. Patrons may submit reference questions to the Tavares Reference Librarian using the Reference Information Request form.

Through this service, the Tavares Public Library staff will provide brief answers to factual questions. Staff will also furnish leads to pursue research topics and search strategies for Web addresses. Suggestions or referrals to sources outside the Lake County Library System may also be provided.

Library Staff will answer up to two requests per cardholder per day. Responses will be sent via e-mail whenever possible. If enclosures are to be included, information will be reproduced and mailed to the address included on the form. There is a $1.00 fee for up to five pages mailed and $2.50 for six or more pages. Be sure to indicate whether or not you want information mailed to you. As with all reference questions, your e-mail questions will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Please be as specific as possible with your request to help us provide the most appropriate response. Let staff know what sources you've already checked to avoid duplication of effort. Fill in the form below and then click "submit" to e-mail your request to library staff. Most responses will be sent by the close of the following business day (excluding Sundays and holidays).

If you have any questions about library cards or the Lake County Library System in general, please consult our Frequently Asked Questions page or contact us via e-mail, phone, or the online contact form.
