Glossary of Terms
Anime: Japanese word for cartoon and animation
Bishounen: beautiful boy (drawn pretty)
Manga: "whimsical pictures", Japanese comic, read from right to left
Manhua: Chinese equivalent of manga
Manhwa/manwa: Korean equivalent of manga
ONA: original net anime
OVA/OAV: original animation video, often different from TV version
Shoujo: daughter, young lady, maiden, little girl
Shounen: boys, juvenile
Shounen-ai: boy love (romantic relationships)
