Teen Happenings @ the BookFest

The Lake County Library System’s 11th annual Lake BookFest, Delicious Reads, welcomes award winning author Chris Tozier today!  He will offer a writing workshop “Being a Writer is Cooler than Luke Skywalker + Voldemort + Katniss Everdeen Times Infinity”. Teens, do you have ideas that no one else in the world has ever had. How do you turn those pictures in your head into a story that others will love to read? Should you write a movie script, poetry, or a novel? Award winning author Chris Tozier will answer all! You can even bring some of your own writing and Chris will read it! This program will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 4 p.m. in the Leesburg Library.

Christopher Tozier lives in the north Orlando, Florida area and is the author of the award-winning Olivia Brophie series for children. Olivia Brophie and the Pearl of Tagelus, the first in the series recently won the Florida Publishers Association Silver Medal award for Children's Literature. His first novel is set in the Florida scrub and is widely taught in schools. Artist website Book website

Chris will conduct a workshop for adults “Part-Time Writer - A Workshop for the Rest of Us” in the Astor County Library on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m.
