Piggy Banks for Story Time

The first story time in the New Year begins a three month program at the Minneola Schoolhouse Library, which will focus on helping children understand the value of coins and the value of saving.

On January 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. each child attending story time will be given a piggy bank of their own. At each story time in January, February and March the children will have chances to earn “cute coins” to put in their banks. On April 8, during Money Smart Week, at story time, we will have the Minneola Market in the library garden, and the Money Smart Kids will have a chance to purchase items using their “cute coins.”

All children are welcome to attend story time each Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. If a child is unable to attend the first program, s/he can get his/her piggy bank at one of the later story times.
