A Land Remembered

The Friends of the Leesburg Public Library and the Florida Humanities Council in celebration of Florida’s 500th anniversary will sponsor “A Land Remembered” by Rick Smith. Mr. Smith will deliver a multimedia presentation based on his father Patrick Smith’s award winning book “A Land Remembered”  - a Florida classic which has been suggested as required reading for native and new Floridians.  Few if any books have captured the spirit and colorful history of Florida as has Patrick Smith’s beloved novel.

This program will be presented at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 16th at the Leesburg Public Library at 100 E. Main Street Leesburg, Florida and is free and open to the public.

Funding for this program was provided through a grant from the Florida Humanities Council with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.  Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of the Florida Humanities Council or the National Endowment for the Humanities.
