The deadline for Teen Video Challenge Contest has been extended to April 24! Are you interested in film making? Do you love your library? You can help get the word out to other young people! Teens ages 13 – 18 have a chance to win $150 by creating a video promoting the use of public libraries. These short (3 minutes or less) but very cool videos will be used to encourage other teens to read, participate in library programs and register for their very own public library card.
Contest rules can be found on Lake County Library System Teen Video Challenge entry form which can be picked up at your local public library or downloaded here. Upload your video to YouTube by April 24. Email your completed entry form to lgoff@lakeline.lib.fl.us by April 24, too.
A Red Carpet Awards Ceremony will be held Friday, May 1, at the Tavares Civic Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m. One video will be awarded $150 and the person dressed in the best celebrity or prom attire will win $50. These great prizes are sponsored by Insight Credit Union.
Hurry! Contest deadline is April 24, 2015. For information call Linda Goff, Youth Services Coordinator at 352-253-6169 or email lgoff@lakeline.lib.fl.us
