Tai Chi Qi Gong for Health
Come join us and learn the ancient art of healing and wellness. Tai Chi and Qi Gong is a slow moving meditation with breathing techniques that will relax the body, invigorate the spirit and improve physiology. Latest scientific studies show improvements in people with osteoporosis, arthritis, back pain, stress and anxiety. Discover what Tai Chi and Qi Gong can do for your health. Come with comfortable clothing.

Practical Self Defense Workshop
Come and learn how to protect yourself. Filipino Martial Arts is a true warrior’s art covering the whole spectrum of combative science from empty hand, bladed and non-bladed weapons and ground fighting at long range, mid and close quarter combat. We will teach a few concepts that will translate into practical and powerful techniques. For men, women and kids.

Opera @ the Library invites students and the public to attend educational programs, classes and discussions of opera and the operatic experience. Meetings are held in Room 108B. Norma Trivelli, Lake-Sumter Community College adjunct professor of foreign languages and voice, conducts the programs.

Read to Sydney: Therapy Dog
Children are invited to read to a friendly therapy dog. Up to five children may read to the dog at one time. This program is first come, first served with no pre-registration. It's recommended for students who are able to read somewhat independently.

Membership is open to everyone interested in learning about genealogy research and preserving their family history.
