April 6-9, 2011

James Grippando - Bestselling Author of Last Call
Visit www.jamesgrippando.com for more information on this great author!

The Lake County Library System Festival of Reading presents the highest quality literary and cultural events and activities to encourage the love of reading and to promote the programs and services of the libraries. The program connects readers and writers in a way that enriches both by providing informative and entertaining programs to the community.

The 8th Annual Festival of Reading will be held April 6th through the 9th. In response to requests from our many readers, this year’s theme will be "Murder, Mystery and Mayhem", including the best of mystery and crime fiction! We will feature writing workshops and author events and host a Friday evening special gala reception celebrating all the authors at the Leesburg Public Library. The award winning Festival, one of Florida's premier literary events, will feature James Grippando, the best-selling author of seventeen novels, including the critically acclaimed "Jack Swyteck" series. Writing workshops and author events will return along with the Author Reception and the hugely successful Silent Auction, this year in beautiful Mount Dora.

Specific information on the workshops for upcoming writers and the author appearances will be found in the fall here on the www.mylakelibrary.org.

Thank you to our authors, sponsors and especially the festival event-goers for a GREAT 2010 festival! One of our featured authors' Nancy J. Cohen has a little to say on the festival too! Read the Lake County Festival of Reading entry on her blog.
