Notes from the Authors

“I've just tucked a note in the mail to you but somehow that didn't seem fast enough to thank you for the grand time I had in Florida. Everything was exquisite - truly. The events, the Heron Cay, the generous staff and your beautiful libraries, not to mention beautiful Lake County. Your Festival of Reading is one of the best organized and enjoyable events I've ever attended. I cannot imagine the amount of work that went into it to make it seem as effortless as it did. My congratulations to you. I hope by the time you read this you're sitting somewhere with your feet up and basking in the glory. Again, thank you to you and the Lake County staff. With much gratitude”     ~ Jo Dereske

“There must be something about living in a warm place that makes people nicer—and this in turn makes them pay attention to the smallest little details, like arranging my stay with you so perfectly. Each audience was so special and what was interesting was that only a few questions were duplicated. I loved finally meeting Bob, since I am such a fan of his books. And it was a treat to spend time with Jo … I'm sure our paths will cross again and meanwhile, many thanks.”   ~ Katherine Hall Page

“It was a blast and what a delightful time as well. I truly enjoyed it and if you ever need a dog-and-pony-author show again, holler my way (except mid-summers when I’ll be up in Ohio). Thanks again and please extend my appreciation to your staff for their warm welcome and continued support,”    ~ Linnea Sinclair

“I just had to thank you again for your warm hospitality and professionalism. I don't know when I've enjoyed an event as much as I did the reading festival. The library in Leesburg was a great facility and the women's club in Clermont was charming. The lunch on Saturday was a real treat and the goodies at each event were an appreciated bonus. I hope the week's events proved successful for your team of library personnel, volunteers and bookseller.” Hope to see you again, Cynthia”    ~ Cynthia Thomason

“Dave and I want to thank all the Fruitland Park library ladies and the Lake County Libraries 5th Annual Festival of Reading for making our Thursday night a wonderful experience. What a warm, receptive audience too! Looking through the event guide - which is so professional - I found many friends who had also participated. (I think I'm going to frame the cover of the guide - it's really cool!) Our thanks again for a lovely evening.”   ~ Sandra Madden
